Eligibility
Echoist is intended only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
- You must provide reasonably accurate account and profile information.
- You must keep your login credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account.
- You may not use another person's account without permission.
How the Service Works
Echoist provides an AI companion experience and may also support real-user introduction flows through consent-based requests and group chats.
- You may create or customize AI companions and use them for ongoing conversation.
- You may communicate in AI chats, friend chats, and group introduction chats where available.
- You may use Discover or related flows to express social intent and ask for a guided introduction.
- An introduction may depend on product rules, user consent, service availability, and moderation controls.
- The service may evolve over time, and features may be changed, limited, or removed.
Your Content
You retain ownership of text, images, and other content you submit. However, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, transmit, and moderate that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve Echoist.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content you upload, and that your content does not violate law, privacy rights, or another person's intellectual-property rights.
Purchases and Digital Goods
Echoist may offer paid digital products such as subscriptions, attempt-related products, or other in-app entitlements. Billing mechanics may depend on the current app platform.
- Product availability, pricing, taxes, and billing flows may vary by country, platform, and store policy.
- We may verify purchases before granting or restoring entitlements.
- Entitlements may be reduced, revoked, or expire if a transaction is refunded, reversed, invalidated, or subject to platform enforcement.
- Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law are not limited by these Terms.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, deceive, or impersonate another person;
- upload unlawful, abusive, sexually exploitative, hateful, or infringing material;
- use the service to manipulate, pressure, or bypass the consent-based introduction flow;
- scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with, or overload the service;
- attempt to bypass billing, moderation, safety, or account-protection systems;
- use the service in violation of law or another person's rights.
Moderation and Suspension
We may investigate behavior that appears to violate these Terms, create safety risk, or create legal or platform risk. We may warn, remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary.
Privacy
Your use of Echoist is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Because Echoist handles account data, AI chats, social-introduction data, uploads, notifications, and purchases, you should review that policy carefully.
Deactivation and Closure
You may stop using Echoist at any time. The product may also provide in-app account deactivation tools.
- Deactivation may end current access, active sessions, and some in-app visibility.
- Some records may still be retained where needed for fraud prevention, support, backups, disputes, or legal compliance.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Echoist is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfectly accurate AI output, or successful interpersonal outcomes.
AI companion responses and introduction suggestions are not a promise of emotional accuracy, compatibility, or real-world success.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Echoist and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If applicable law requires additional notice for a material change, we will provide that notice.
